Making your own granola is so easy and delicious! With 5 or 6 simple ingredients you can feed your family a wholesome and nutritious breakfast, or a yummy snack that is ready in just a few minutes.
Store bought varieties of granola cannot compare to your own homemade varieties. Not only are you able to make any flavor combinations that you want but you also control the quality of ingredients that you use, making this recipe well worth trying.
Here's my recipe for a single batch and I doubled it for the video.
4 cups old fashioned oats
1 tsp salt
2 tsps cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
1/3 cup raw honey or maple syrup
2 tsps vanilla extract
Mix together dry ingredients and then mix together wet ingredients and combine until moistened. Spread on lightly greased baking sheet and bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Remove half way through baking time and give a quick stir. Place back in oven for remaining time. If adding dried fruit, coconut, etc add these after the 20 minutes and bake 5 minutes longer. Stir immediately for more flakes or break up with fingers after it cools for more cluster like granola.
Store in airtight container for up to 2 weeks if it lasts that long...lol. 😁
