3/4 freshly ground whole wheat flour
3/4 organic all purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 sticks of chilled butter, cubed
2 to 4 tablespoons of ice water
Combine all ingredients except for ice water and butter in a food processor and pulse for 30 seconds and then add butter and pulse for 30 more seconds. Then add ice water and pulse until this forms a ball. Take out and shape crust with a dough roller and place in pie plate. Place in fridge and chill an additional 30 minutes. Take crust out and fill and bake according to pie recipe.
You can also pre bake this crust on 375 until browned and fill with pie filling.
